Oxford Street Activators Mural

Brief

This mural workshop was brought together by Place Partners, UNSW and City of Sydney as part of the #OxfordStActivators project. Street Art Walking helped to co-ordinate ad ensign and workshop to produce the artwork.

Project Information

The aim was create an uplifting mural for Oxford Street to create a visible change to the street front of a partially empty building. The mural was created with help from locals on the day to add their own touches – see the armadillo, bilby and kookaburra!

A nature theme was considered and a layered jungle was created by Simone Sheridan with local Sydney artist Christophe Domergue and workshop participants.
